Admidst all the craziness in Spongebob in Random Land, it was easy to overlook the homages & references scattered throughout the episode. Like this tribute to the cult film, "Forbidden Zone."
Forbidden Zone was directed by Richard Elfman in 1980 and was a big musical influence on me. It was Danny Elfman's first film score, before Peewee's Big Adventure and still on my top 5 of all his film scores.
