Ego Plum's first foray in to film scoring was at age 21 with the 1996 low-budget horror film, "Blood Slaves of the Vampire Wolf," directed by Ed Wood collaborator Conrad Brooks (star of Plan 9 From Outer Space). It wouldn't be until 2004 that Plum would score his second film, "In the Land of Milk & Money," for director Susan Emshwiller (writer of Ed Harris' Pollock). Paul Bunnel's sci-fi musical, "The Ghastly Love of Johnny X," would follow. In 2019 Ego Plum's co-scored (alongside Danny Elfman) the film, "Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens and Geeks," for director Richard Elfman (Forbidden Zone) and will be released in 2020. Hipsters will feature an original 64 minute score of original music by both Ego Plum and Danny Elfman.
